A Day in the Artist Life

Recently I was asked how life is now that I am retired. That got me thinking about my typical day. For example, yesterday started with me learning how to use my recently acquired Logan matte cutter (thank goodness for youtube videos!) so I can make perfect beveled edges. Next up was an oil painting session. Then a couple of hours spent on a proposal for an exhibition that will take place early next year. After that I added hardware and wire to a frame for a recently purchased painting, packaged it and brought it to my shipping agent. Next I plunged into a social media and email hole and browsed for additional frames. Finally I checked that the temperature and humidity were right for a resin pour, donned my toxic fumes mask, mixed and poured a layer of resin onto a work in progress, brought in a dehumidifier and sealed the room for 3 days. So how do I like life now that I am 'retired'? I LOVE IT!!!
