Dreams do Come True!

Our natural world seen through a contemporary lens is a continuing inspiration for my artwork. Through my art, I strive to evoke feelings of peace and serenity juxtaposed with energetic mark making so viewers stay engaged. Recent artworks use sinuous lines to demarcate sections of my compositions outlining both positive and negative spaces, intentionally influenced by printmaking techniques.

I grew up in NYC, in a neighborhood of apartment buildings and pavement. One of the buildings was adorned with a magnificent crimson azalea bush that stood 5’ high and close by a small patch of tulips, crocuses and daffodils bloomed each spring. I can still almost taste the bright colors juxtaposed against the drab urban landscape. Looking back, it reminds me of the “The Wizard of Oz” when the movie switches from black and white to color. This is how I feel when I immerse myself in natural environments whether it’s an ocean sunset or hiking the Sonoran desert. It’s a feeling of wonder and joy that infuses my artwork.

Always, I’m an artist - it’s been my superpower from being accepted to the honors art program at I.S.145 to being admitted to the H.S. of Art and Design and from there, studying watercolor, printmaking and oil painting at Colgate University, the École des Beaux-Arts in Dijon, France, the Art Student’s League of New York and Parsons School of Design. Even so, I have not always had the confidence to pursue art as a career. Much of my adult life was spent in the corporate world specializing in Financial Services technology while continuing to pursue art whenever possible. Now, as a full-time artist, I am able to leverage my business skills to manage my art business and to deliver projects on time and on budget.

One of my goals is to empower artists communities for support and mentoring. For 6 years I ran the Glen Rock Public Library art gallery to provide a showcase for local artists. I also founded  "Springboard", a 7 women-strong collective and am currently launching a monthly artist salon.

  • First, let's discuss your vision for the commission - subject, color palette, size and mood so the result meets your expectations and fits your personality and taste.
  • Commissions typically cost from $800 - $3,000 depending on size and complexity and I require a 50% deposit to begin work.
  • From conception to shipping takes approximately 8-16 weeks. Please give me adequate time to finish a piece ahead of any deadline you may have. I usually have a waiting list around the holidays.
