A new home on the Jersey Shore with (drumroll please...) a separate studio building where I can work big! This has been a lifelong dream of mine which makes it especially gratifying.
After years of squeezing in my artistic pursuits while working full-time in demanding jobs and raising a family, I can finally devote all of my resources to creating and running my art business. It fills me with joy to be able to live in such an inspiring place, close to my beloved ocean but still on a train line to New York where I was born and raised!
From childhood on I have always been an artist. I studied watercolor, printmaking and oil painting at the H.S. of Art & Design, Colgate University, the École des Beaux-Arts in Dijon, France, the Art Student’s League of New York and Parsons School of Design. For the past 6 years I ran the Glen Rock Public Library art gallery providing a showcase for local artists. I also founded "Springboard", an artist mentoring community and am a member of numerous art organizations. For my full bio, click here.
Like a kid in a candy store, I find it difficult to stick to any one medium or subject. There are so many inspirations that I want to explore! My dominant themes are all related to life experiences. Spending every summer with extended family in Jersey Shore beach bungalows is the source of my series of ocean paintings. My ballet training and love of dance was reinforced when my daughter started performing leading to the "Ballet Rehearsal Series". My monotype mania began during my college work/study job monitoring Colgate's printmaking studio. Travel inspires many of my oil paintings (Arizona! Maine! California!). My love of cats and dogs led to my pet portraits. I could go on and on...
